Wheel to Wi-Fi” - A Technological Metamorphosis [ An Article written for my University Magazine]

Traveling through time, mankind has sighted the stupendous metamorphosis of technology. From caves to skyscrapers, wheel-carts to bullet trains, candles to neon, catapults to missiles, gramophones to ipods, walkie-talkies to cell phones, antennas to satellites, abacus to computer clusters... everything has undergone a sweeping change.
As the old saying goes “Necessity is the mother of all inventions”, ‘fast computing’ was the reason behind creation of monstrous machines, capable of evaluating beastly figures to give out the correct results magically. And the idea that was meant to be a solution, led to the evolution of an exclusive discipline, “Digital Science “.Since then, this field has made a terrific expedition. The concept of 0 and 1 has engulfed the globe and transformed it into a village.
A century ago, no one could have possibly predicted the world today, not even the masterminds of the last era. As man interrogates the possibilities, new solutions evolve” and it is these that have led to the eternal advancements of science and technology. To be more precise, the moment you manage to master one technology, a more advanced version emerges. This is the pace of advancement we are witnessing. The current trend from ‘micro to nano’ has redefined the science, thus making it more intricate and convincing. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Man is continually exploring but there is so much more that is unknowingly unexplored. The generation of new ideas is eternal and it is these that have continually brought about the revolution in thought. Engineering is a perfect blend of diverse sciences .No big design is procured without amalgamating the facts and theories, from various scientific disciplines…..
Let us together, explore the marvels of science and unveil the unforeseen to the FUTURE.

Every great advance in science has issued from a new audacity of imagination”.
