Change ..Paradox…Humor…

You know, I’m reading this book called ‘Sacred Journey of a Peaceful Warrior’(for the second time) and for all reasons I would recommend it. Its definitely not boring or as serious as it sounds( I made that point becoz so far I passed on this book to 4 people and none of them read it :-/… I don’t know whats stopping them…but I assume that they don’t find the title interesting/ I dunno if they are on a war with me n my opinions ;))
So anyway, while I was reading this book, I captured this line on one of the pages and went dissecting it over and over again…[Seriously sometimes you cant believe your own opinions ;) ] and I thought I should share mine here.

Life has 3 aspects: Change ..Paradox…Humor…

Now…..Lets DIG IN..

What is change?
To make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be (if controlled or left alone).

Everyday is a change. Today will never be like yesterday or any other day from the past…

Gwyneth Paltrow quoted somewhere : ‘when we split up, my heart broke. And one thing I know for sure is that nothing remains the same’ ….
[See this happens even with best friends :-/]
I somehow believe that emotional changes are most unpredicatable and depends on stability of mind. But these seem to be the changes that matter the most.[Except for people who cling their sentiments to materialism]

Paradox?
A statement or proposition that seems self-contradictory or absurd but in reality expresses a possible truth ; an opinion or statement contrary to commonly accepted opinion.

Eg: A Cretan says: "All Cretans are liars". Is the simplest paradox example I found.

I think a lot of situations especially those requiring decision making are paradoxical….It requires a very rationale sorta thinking and focus.

Here's a fact : A paradox is easier to comprehend the first time and the 'nth time when u think u finally got it'....All those turns in between when u twisted your mind trying to capture the meaning, it just fails.Likewise the first opinion and the nth opinion(final one)on any situation are the easiest to make. The  other opinions range from 'confusing to crap'.. :D

I’m very tempted to edit the grandfathers paradox into this: Suppose man traveled back in time and manipulated the reason for his mistakes before the latter caused the commiting of the mistake. As a result, the reason for all present havoc/consequences would never have existed. This would imply that man would not have traveled back in time after all, which means that the reason can still come up and the mistake could be commited allowing man to travel back in time and manipulate the reason....
[This doesn really make sense, but i just wanted some teeth-grinding from your side ;)]

Humor?
Humour is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement.

Every chain laughter,Sweet sarcasm, homer, calvin&hobes is what i ll call humour. [I guess we do not posses the ability to laugh at our own mistakes.Talking about mistakes, I guess they teach us lessons for a lifetime]

After all the basics, heres the simple point i wanted to convey :

Yes! Change is scary but It is necessary...Its the only way we grow.
Paradox is insane but it Happens. Its the only way we think differently.
Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers.
[hopefully u find the right humorist at that point of time]..

So think about it....
Change.....Paradox...Humor
